Windows Live Toolbar

The Windows Live Toolbar makes your browsing experience a lot easier by organizing your open websites under grouped tabs, mapping all of the addresses on the web page you're viewing, giving you instant feeds about topics you care about, letting you use more existing buttons and create new ones so you can get the information you care about, and protecting you against phishing and viruses.

It is the successor to the MSN Search Toolbar and indexes all files and emails and runs in the background. The simple search interface starts to list its results as you type in a search query, making it easy to search across emails, pictures, text files, and documents with a single search phrase.

Unlike many other applications, the Windows Live Toolbar can also be installed on most browsers, letting you quickly link to any of the Windows Live applications from outside.
