Hide and Unhide Columns and Rows

  1. Select the column or row headings you want to hide. If you want to unhide rows or columns, select the row or columns both before and after the hidden rows or columns.
  2. Choose Home> Cells> Format> Hide and Unhide. A menu of options appears. You cannot hide selected cells; only entire columns or rows. For example we choose rows to hide.

  3. Make a selection. In Figure, notice that rows 6 and 7 are hidden and seem to have disappeared.
