Adding Windows pe Images to Windows Deployment Services
When you've set up Windows Deployment Services on your network, you can add a Windows PE image to Windows Deployment Services so that you can easily deploy the image. To do this, follow these steps:
- On a management computer or a server running Windows Deployment Services, start the Windows Deployment Services console by clicking Start, pointing to All Programs, Administrative Tools, and then clicking Windows Deployment Services.
- In the Windows Deployment Services console, expand the Servers node and select the server you want to work with. Right-click the server's Boot Images folder, and then click Add Boot Image.
- On the Image File page, enter the path to the Windows PE image, and then click Open.
- On the Image Metadata page, type a name and description for the image, and then click Next.
- On the Summary page, click Next to add the image to Windows Deployment Services. When the import operation is complete, click Finish.
