Removing or repairing a program
To remove a program installed on your computer, you need to open the Installed Programs Control Panel window. Choose Start → Control Panel and then click the Uninstall a Program link under Programs in the Control Panel. Next, select the application name in the list displayed and then click the Uninstall button (sometimes called Uninstall/Change) on the Installed Programs window's toolbar. Next, Windows 7 may open a User Account Control dialog box, in which case you need to click the Continue button. Then click the Yes button on the alert dialog box that appears to ask whether you're sure that you want to remove the program and all its components from your computer.
Tip If you're having trouble running one or more of the Microsoft Office programs (programs in the Microsoft Office 2003 suite or some earlier version, for example), you can try fixing the programs by clicking the Microsoft Office listing and then clicking the Change button and then selecting the Repair option followed by Continue in the Change Your Installation of Microsoft Office dialog box.
