Specifying the Authentication for a Cisco AnyConnect VPN

For a Cisco AnyConnect VPN, you can use either a certificate or password for authenticating the user. To set up the authentication, follow these steps:

  1. In the Group text box of the VPN pane, type the group you want to use for authenticating the connection.
    For a Cisco AnyConnect VPN, you can use either a certificate or a password for authentication. You can also turn on VPN On Demand.
  2. In the User Authentication drop-down list or pop-up menu, choose Password or Certificate, as appropriate.
  3. Either type the password in the Password text box, or open the Identity Certificate drop-down list or pop-up menu and choose the certificate.

Specifying the Authentication for a Jupiter SSL VPN

For a Jupiter SSL VPN, you can use either a certificate or a password for authenticating the user. To set up the authentication, follow these steps:

  1. In the Realm text box in the VPN pane, type the realm to use for authenticating the connection.
    For a Jupiter SSL VPN, you can use either a certificate or a password for authentication. You can also turn on VPN On Demand.
  2. In the Role text box, type the role to use for authentication.
  3. Open the User Authentication drop-down list or pop-up menu and choose Password or Certificate, as appropriate.
    NOTE If you use a certificate for authentication, add the certificate to the Credentials payload.
  4. Either type the password in the Password text box, or open the Identity Certificate drop-down list or pop-up menu and choose the certificate.
